     Title: The Gabbertas Studio Appoints Teacake Tuesday 

We were delighted to be approached about PR by acclaimed furniture designer Mark Gabbertas, who has been at the forefront of the renaissance of British design since the 1990's. Best know for collaborative projects with Artifex, Allermuir, Boss, Lyndon, Chorus, Oasiq and Gloster, the Studio's position on design is clear; "to create character through simplicity".

Teacake Tuesday's brief will be to work on brand building and present media insights surrounding new product presentations. We were already active during the recent London Design Festival where a number of the Gabebrtas Studio designs were presented, including 100% Design, and Design Junction.  'Han', a deceptively simple chair with sub layers of technical expertise has also been nominated for the prestigious 2013 Wood Awards, one of the UK's premier architecture and furniture competitions which aims to recognise, encourage and promote outstanding desing, craftsmanship in wood and wood products. Other products that launched during 100% Design included 'Frank', a new sofa and chair design that nods to mid-century wooden frame typologies but which is contemporary, realised in its angular and geometric proportions and frame detailing. Designed for Lyndon, this is the 6th collection by the Gabbertas Studio for Lyndon Design and representative of the strength of this exciting and enduring collaboration.
