C.L.A.S.S has been working with the GCC, an initiative by Livia Firth, and Lucy Siegle with the GCC library now also curated by Giusi Bettoni of C.L.A.S.S. September 14th saw the launch of a number of designs using fabrics from the library, which were launching at a private event at the British Fashion Council's headquarters at Somerset House. The evening was to announce a special project called The Green Cut, devised by Livia and Lucy and sponsored by American Express, BFI and The British Fashion Council. Each outfit created was based around a famous film (selection by Sarah Mower) and each designer was challenged to work with only sustainable fabrics. Designers participating included Jonathan Saunders, Marios Schwab, Steven Jones, Alice Temperley, and Stella Mc Cartney.
The Teacake team were pleased to be in attendance at this prestigious event. Other key people in attendance were Orsola De Castro of 'From Somewhere' a dedicated ambassador for sustainable fashion and founder of Esthetica.
