     Title: Craft Council UK Mentoring

Emma Tweedie, founder of Teacake Tuesday was invited to host a session titled 'Reaching Your Market and Making The Most Of Your Online Presence', a tailored workshop looking at personal branding and social media insights for designer makers. This formed part of the Craft Council UK's ongoing Talent Management and business development programme. Sharing the speaker platform with contemporary ceramicist Tessa Eastman, she devised a simple session to help creatives get their work noticed. The day looked at how to improve SEO, which social platforms work best for creatives, how to develop a social media strategy for the specific type of business, how to protect images online, as well as small business brand development. The session was well received with attendees giving feedback such as 'Such a valuable experience, so much detail and brilliant simple advice.'

Emma regularly speaks to new up and coming talent on the subject of communication, branding and social media. She has been a guest lecturer at Bath University, Oxford Brooks and The London College Of Fashion, she is also a member of Enterprise Nation.
