For the last five days the Teacake Tuesday team has worked on a number of high-octane news stories for the global charity Live to Love. During the five days visit, His Holiness the Gyalwang promoted a number of projects including the launch of a new book 'Everyday Enlightenment' by Penguin, a private screening of a documentary called Pad Yatra: A Green Odyssey, promoting key messages around the Himalayan region as the world's '3rd' Pole - and drawing attention to the fact this region contributes to over 70% of the world's water source. Teacake Tuesday worked on all aspects from guest lists to photojournalists and news output as well as ensuring key images were taken of all celebrities in attendance.
The team also lined up some great news coverage of the trip His Holiness and the Live to Love team made to Oxford University and the Oxford Mindfulness College with his internationally renowned Kung Fu nuns. The nuns demonstrated some of their moves to alumni and students at the college, and most of the local Oxford press were in attendance. BBC Radio Oxford and BBC London Sports covered this performance: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-17399176
Whilst in London the team also squeezed in a visit to the Olympic Park courtesy of the Olympic Legacy Company and were given a private tour of the Park by Lord Mawson.
The Live to Love charity aims to convert passion into action and provide modern solutions for many of today's problems. The organisation has to date undertaken a number of key activities from tree plnting initiatives to 'Pad Yatra's' or pilgrimages to raise awareness on sustainability issues. It continues to support educational projects. www.live2love.org
